The Charcoal Carbon Filter is installed into over-the-range hoods to help eliminate cooking smoke and odor. When preparing meals on your stove, several airborne pollutants such as smoke, grease, steam, moisture and other chemicals spread throughout your kitchen and home. This cooktop hood filter improves kitchen air quality by reducing the amount of smoke and odors from cooking.
When you turn the fan of the Kitchen Aire Range Hood on, it pulls air from above the stove cooktop and either sends the fumes and odors outside through ventilation ducting, or it routes air through a series of grease and charcoal filters before returning it back into the kitchen airstream.
